About Us – PEACE
NGO Profile
Nearly 40 Years of Transformative Service to Marginalized Communities
PEACE – People’s Action for Creative Education – is a registered nonprofit organization founded in 1986 in the heart of rural Telangana. With an unwavering commitment to social justice, equity, and grassroots empowerment, PEACE has worked for nearly four decades to uplift the lives of the most vulnerable – Dalits, women, children, small and marginal farmers, and the differently abled.
As we approach 40 years of service in 2026, PEACE proudly reflects on a journey of impactful change marked by deep community engagement, inclusive development models, and long-standing partnerships with some of the most respected state, national, and international development agencies.
Our Evolution
self-reliant, healthy, and educated society
Our Evolution: From Activist Movement to Program-Based Institution Building
PEACE began as an activist organization, campaigning for eradication of child labour and Dalit empowerment. Over time, it evolved into a program-based development organization, establishing sustainable, scalable, and community-owned institutions like:
- Women-led MACS (Mutually Aided Cooperative Societies)
- Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)
- Livelihood support programs for persons with disabilities
- Climate-resilient agriculture and water management models
Our mission remains rooted in the belief that education, awareness, and grassroots organizing can transform systemic poverty and social exclusion into dignified livelihoods and empowered communities.
